One page can contain several policy generations
The inspected Emirates page includes both current terms and historical sections. A 50% first-extra-piece statement in a pre-December 21, 2020 section is not a current 2026 discount for a new ticket.
For eligible Americas piece-concept tickets from September 8, 2026, the recorded additional-piece tariff between the Americas and Middle East is $225. Where the current 15% advance discount applies, the calculation is $191.25. Eligibility includes the appropriate Emirates-issued ticket and marketed/operated itinerary; the actual booking must confirm it.
Do not confuse three different products
An additional standard piece is different from excess weight or excess size on a piece already within the allowance. Non-Americas weight-concept purchases are another product again. A per-kilogram rate from one section should not price an Americas extra piece.
How to verify a quote
Match the original ticket date, itinerary, cabin and piece/weight concept. Confirm the four-hour advance window where applicable, then compare the actual offer on the airline’s booking service. Keep any airport acceptance limit visible before showing the price.
For the website’s data model, the historical and current rows should have separate IDs and date conditions. Merely selecting the largest percentage found on the page is not a savings strategy; it is a source-selection error that can leave travelers short of money at the airport.
