Checked Bag Size Calculator: Linear Inches
Add the packed outside length, width and height of a suitcase. See its total in linear inches and compare it with the airline’s listed limit.
A suitcase sold as “28 inches” may be taller once you count its wheels. Measure the packed bag on all three outside sides to see its real total.
These tools help you plan. They don’t take payment or decide whether an airline will accept a bag. When a price or limit is missing, check it with the airline.
After you get a result
Compare it with your ticket, the airline flying each leg, and the final price in its booking flow. If you’re flying round trip, check both directions.
What this tool can tell you
Add the three outside sides of your packed bag, including wheels and handles. A bag within the usual size limit isn’t automatically included in your fare, and the largest bag an airline will accept may have a different limit.
Try an example
A 28 × 18 × 12 inch bag totals 58 linear inches. A 30 × 20 × 14 inch bag totals 64. Check that sum against the airline’s rule, then weigh the bag too.
Open the airline link in your result before you pay. You don’t need to enter a booking number, passport, or payment details here.
