A U.S. departure is not one price zone

The examined EVA table places Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco and Honolulu in U.S. Zone 3, while other listed U.S. departures use Zone 4. For a standard additional piece to Taiwan under the revised table, the recorded amounts are $240 and $270 respectively.

The associated revision notice describes international travel from September 29, 2026. A date on a travel rule should not be rewritten as a ticket-purchase condition. The U.S. page and another official locale supply different parts of this evidence, which is why production activation still needs a focused source review.

A conditional prepayment calculation

Where a $240 standard extra piece qualifies for the 10% advance discount, the calculation is $216. That is not a blanket promise for an overweight or oversized item: the booking must accept the product and discount, and the purchase window must be satisfied.

What the site should ask

Ask for the departure airport, travel date, fare and current included allowance. Keep U.S. and Canadian currency columns distinct. Preserve the difference between a new piece and excess weight on an included piece.

At exact size boundaries where the inspected wording is unclear, return an airline-confirmation message rather than making up an inequality. A transparent unknown is better than a seemingly precise fee for the wrong zone, date or product.

The examples above show how the cited rules work. They aren’t charges from a real booking.

Before you use a price

A listed fee may change with your fare, route, and ticket date. Check the linked airline policy alongside your booking before paying.
