Do not hide the discrepancy
The inspected official FAQ says $100 for the 51–99.99 lb overweight band, while the date-specific Bag Options table lists $129 for bookings from April 4, 2026. The ordinary base bag price also varies by booking. A calculator should not turn this combination into a confident fixed total.
Keep the two observations with their source locations and applicable dates. Show “official confirmation required” for the conflicting band until the applicable rule is reconciled. A more recent page timestamp alone does not prove that every older ticket or every product uses that number.
Verify the purchased entitlement first
A standard checked bag uses a 40 lb allowance, but a qualifying Business bundle can include 50 lb pieces. Charging a bundled 45 lb bag as though it had only the ordinary allowance would create a different error.
The receipt may also contain an airport assistance component. Ask for itemization rather than assuming that every dollar above the base fee is a weight surcharge.
A practical traveler request
Provide the original booking date, fare/bundle, bag weight and dimensions. Ask which dated tariff the airline will apply and retain the response or final itemized quote. If the amount differs at the airport, keep the receipt for a factual review request.
The site should not conceal ambiguity to produce a prettier number. Knowing that the published evidence conflicts—and exactly what to confirm—is useful information before departure.
